Danique van Rijswijck
12:00 - 12:20 "Immunoglobulomics; in-depth characterization of immunoglobulins from human biofluids."
Danique van Rijswijck is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University within the Biomolecular Mass spectrometry and Proteomics group. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Maastricht University, and her master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Radboud University. In the pursuit of her PhD, her focus is on LC-MS based antibody clonal profiling and de novo sequencing. With this, her work involves advancing the understanding of antibodies, examining both antibodies on the total plasma level and at the antigen-specific level. For the latter, she has investigated the antibody repertoires against various SARS-CoV-2 variants and explored the auto-antibody response present in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Besides, she is optimizing the de novo sequencing workflow to extract even more details about these antibodies.
