Breinvriendelijk werken en leven
Tijdstip: 09h00 - 10h30
Please note: This is an online staff workshop and will be offered in Dutch - staff only!
Time: 12h00 - 13h00
Where: UM Sports Exercise studio
Tai Chi is an ancient movement form from China that balances the body and mind. The movements are fluid and there is a smooth transition between postures. The movements seem simple, but correct execution requires attention and practice. This makes Tai Chi a form of mindfulness in movement.
Tai Chi improves balance and coordination, strengthens muscles, and supports joint flexibility. The relaxing exercises loosen muscles and joints. This makes Tai Chi particularly suitable for people who are looking for a gentle form of exercise that still has positive effects on the body and mind.

Where: Kaleido (Tapijnkazerne 21)
Guestspeaker: Inger Strietman
Opening by the Wellbeing Movement Team and Jan-Tjitte Meindersma (Vice President of Maastricht University) followed by an interactive Lecture by Inger Strietman.
About the interactive lecture:
Do you feel the pressure to constantly perform, always aiming for success? In today’s high-performance world, it can seem like you're only as good as your latest achievement. This pressure often leads to mounting stress and a harsh, self-critical mindset as we push ourselves to be “perfect.”
But here's the good news: there’s a better way! The secret? Self-compassion. By being kinder to ourselves, we can not only improve our mental health, but also boost our motivation, happiness, and our connection with others. Join us for an inspiring and interactive session where you’ll discover what self-compassion truly means, the powerful benefits it can bring, and — most importantly — how you can weave self-kindness into your everyday life.
Ready to stop battling stress and start surfing it with kindness? Sign up now and take the first step toward a healthier, happier you.
I can’t wait to see you there!
