Dear Colleagues and Friends, We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming Vienna Interdisciplinary Symposium on Aortic Repair (VISAR), taking place on May 8–9 at the historic House of Austrian Industries (Haus der Industrie), Schwarzenbergplatz 4, 1030 Vienna.

Building on the tremendous success of last year’s VISAR, which welcomed over 300 participants, we are pleased to announce that the symposium has transitioned from a biennial to an annual event. This year’s congress will center on educational and technical advancements, featuring live surgeries broadcast directly from two of our operating rooms and our Hybrid OR.

Our new venue, the elegant House of Austrian Industries, is conveniently located in the heart of Vienna, near the previous site. The comprehensive program will span both open and endovascular approaches for aortic repair, with state-of-the-art lectures addressing contemporary challenges, case-based presentations, and plenty of opportunities for plenary discussions. In response to popular demand, we are also expanding our technical forum to include hands-on training in endovascular aortic and valve procedures. Participants will have access to a wide array of simulators, ranging from traditional wet labs to cutting-edge VR environments—tailored for both aspiring interventionists and seasoned practitioners.
