About the event...

🎪TUnder Connect & Network Event

Teaching can be challenging so why do it all alone? The aim of this event is to make connections across campus and hopefully find yourself one or more colleagues with whom you will later on dive deeper in to your teaching or your course. During the event we have activities that will allow you to meet new people: We have an ice breaker activity, and three bars with different education themes and bartenders who will stimulate conversations. Lastly, there will a pin board to offer or search for specific things you would like to observe, collaborate or get feedback on. At the end of the event you will decide whether you found a buddy and want to participate in ⚡TUnder later this year or perhaps collaborate in other ways.

👩🏽‍🏫For who?

This event is for everyone who wants to develop their skills or course in an informal, fun and safe environment. And it is also for those who want to share their knowledge with others and seeking collaborations. We invite anyone from +/-6 months till 20+ years of experience in teaching/supervising to join this event.

For new lecturers this is a chance to meet fellow educators across campus, get feedback on your teaching and get inspired to get the most out of your teaching role.

For experienced lecturers this is a chance to meet fellow educators across campus, dive deeper into your teaching skills, find new collaborations and to share your experience with others

⚡What is TUnder?

As a teacher, you never stop learning. We believe that one of the best ways to enhance your teaching is through connecting with other educators. This is why we have created TUnder; TU Delft’s initiative for facilitating teacher-to-teacher development.

🚩Why is it important?

Teaching is hugely rewarding, but also can be challenging. These challenges can take many forms, from how to engage large groups, to how to design for active learning, and many, many more. Unfortunately, all too often educators, both new and experienced, struggle with these challenges alone or perhaps are not aware of an area that could be improved upon. We believe that through making connections and learning together, you will be able to take your teaching to the next level in a relaxed and supportive environment.

🆕 What's new?

Previously, you would register for a quarter and then would be matched by us. In this event we want to take another route and facilitate to your match! This will be done through getting acquainted with your fellow colleagues from across campus through multiple academically themed areas.

📌Pin board

We will have a pin board where you can ask others to join you or help you, or where you can offer your help or open your course to be observed by others. You can write your message in the registration form. If you can not join the event but do wish to put your message on our pin board please send an email to teachingacademy@tudelft.nl
