This is a 4-day course, but you can also make your own selection of days that you want to attend (all sessions are in-person at TU/e).
Day-1: Lectures on general fluid mechanics in energy challenges including multiscale experimental and numerical approaches.
Day-2: Fluid mechanics for wind energy.
Day-3: Fluid mechanics for electrochemical conversion.
Day-4: Fluid mechanics for gaseous and solid fuels.
Registration PhD courses for JMBC members
This form can only be used to register for JMBC PhD-courses. If it is not possible to attend the course, please cancel/unregister as soon as possible. For cancellations received at least one month before the start of the course we will not charge you any costs. After that the full registration fee will be charged.
Course fee
The fee includes course material, lunches and one joint dinner for all participants and lecturers. Participants have to book their own hotel accommodation; for officially registered JMBC PhD students reimbursement of hotel costs (no Air BNB) is provided by the JMBC. All other national and international PhD students, scientific staff, postdocs, postgraduate students, staff members or other interested persons have to make (and pay) their own travel and hotel arrangements.
The general philosophy of the JMBC course programme is to offer the possibility for PhD students and postdocs to broaden themselves scientifically in fluid mechanics, in particular in areas outside the topic of their own research project.
A certificate of attendance for a particular course can be obtained by sending an email to the JMBC. A general JMBC Course Certificate can be obtained after having attended at least 3 JMBC PhD courses.
