Community Guidelines

As the Student Project Team, we are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment where students can openly share feedback on UM-related topics. To ensure our monthly panels are productive and welcoming, we ask all participants to follow these guidelines:

1. Respect Others – Listen actively and allow others to speak without interruption.

2. Commitment to Participate – By signing up, you commit to engaging fully in the discussion. Your contributions are valued and essential.

3. Attendance – If you sign up, please make every effort to attend. If you can’t make it, kindly deregister in advance to allow another student the opportunity to participate.

4. Zero Tolerance for Hate or Discrimination – We strictly prohibit any form of hateful, discriminatory, or inappropriate speech or behavior.

5. Punctuality – Please arrive on time so discussions can begin and run smoothly.

6. Confidentiality and Privacy – Respect the privacy of fellow participants. Avoid sharing anyone’s personal experiences or comments outside the panel without their permission.

7. Constructive Feedback – Focus on providing feedback that is constructive and solutions-oriented. Avoid personal criticisms or off-topic remarks.

8. Active Engagement – Stay engaged throughout the discussion. Avoid distractions like phones or side conversations, which can detract from the experience.

9. Open-Mindedness – Approach discussions with an open mind and a willingness to understand different perspectives, even if they differ from your own.

10. Follow-Up – If any concerns arise, please reach out to the organizing team directly to ensure issues are addressed constructively and respectfully.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in removal from the panel. Thank you for helping us create a respectful and productive space for all.
