Basketball Game
Session by UM Sports
10.00 - 11.30 h
Where? UM Sports, P. Debyplein 15 - Sports Hall
Everyone is welcome for this friendly basketball game at UM SPORTS. A UM SPORTS instructor will divide the group in teams and supervise this informal game. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to more advanced players. We will play a friendly scrimmage, so scores will be kept but more as a friendly reminder than a measure of success. You will have the chance to play a few games if you wish.
Teams will be loosely organized on the spot, so you can sign up with a friend or by yourself. Skills levels may vary, but the emphasis is on inclusion, with experienced players encouraging and supporting those still mastering the game. It’s an opportunity for everyone to showcase their talents and share tips that each unique player brings to the court.
In addition to it’s social aspect, basketball is a great workout that can help you build endurance, improve balance and coordination, develop concentration and self-discipline and build up muscle. You can read more about the physical and mental benefits of basketball online.
make sure you arrive on time so you have enough time to set up.

Equipment and boxing gloves are provided by UM SPORTS, but make sure you arrive on time so you have enough time to set up.
Gut Health & Healthy Baking

Nutrition impacts our mood and behavior. This is well known to most of you. Just think about the effect of coffee or alcohol. On the other hand, nutritional deficiencies can also affect our behavior and mood. And if you think that nutritional deficiencies do not occur in a developed country like the Netherlands, you are wrong.
This time, using case histories, we focus on some important conditions for a healthy brain. At the end of the lecture, you'll have concrete tips on what you can do yourself to boost your mental health. In addition, we will get to work practically. So you will experience that you can snack without it having a negative impact on your brain.

Creative Dance
Session by Katerina
13.00 - 14.30 h
Where? Kaleido, Tapijnkazerne 21
Curiosity and playfulness are muscles we train a lot as kids, but we tend to lose as adults.
The practise of creative dance and movement is a self care practise which leads to self confidence and the strength to live your life with your own values. Participating in this group exploration will open the door to stability and resilience in your mental and physical core. From this stable core, you can face any changes in your life from a centred, empowered perspective.
Taking your place within this group will…
- Allow you to feel less alone by realising that others face similar challenges and feelings
- Connect you to like-minded people, who like to explore as a natural way of unwinding and expressing themselves
- Help you to learn about yourself through discovering your spontaneous and authentic responses to movement prompts
- Give you enriching experiences with different creative minds and souls, boosting your creativity in all areas of life
- Support you in breaking taboos like the need “to look perfect” or “get it right” inside and outside the dance class
We dance barefoot!
Do not forget to bring a bottle of water.
