Knitwits Meet Wooligans
Workshop by Gerda Galenkamp
13.30 - 15.30 h
Where? EDLAB, Garden Room, Tapijnkazerne 23
Does your mind need a break? Do you find meditation difficult? Do you want to relax and at the same time train your brain?
Join the Knitwits!
We are hosting a get-together around the beautiful craft of knitting. We will teach you the basics: how to hold the needles and thread and how to start a project. Everyone can learn these skills. You will find that knitting can relieve stress and tension. There is no pressure. You don’t have to be creative. One moment you will see a soft thread going through your fingers. The next moment you will have a sock or a scarf in your hands. Immense gratification.

We immediately step out into the proverbial ‘mud’ and experience the how Outdoor Adventure Coaching can challenge you. Will you come out and play?

Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra
Session by Ilona from Yogilo
17.00 - 18.15 h
Where? UM Sports, P. Debyplein 15 - Body & Mind Studio
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where poses are held for an extended period, usually around 3-5 minutes or even longer. The focus is on targeting the deeper connective tissues and joints, aiming to increase flexibility and promote relaxation. But Yin Yoga isn't just about physical postures – it's an introspective journey. As you sink into each pose, you'll learn to observe your thoughts and sensations without judgment. This can be a powerful tool for managing the challenges that come with university life.
Yoga Nidra, also know as 'yogic sleep,' is a guided meditation practice that induces deep relaxation and conscious awareness. You lay down in a comfortable position and follow my voice, gradually moving your attention through different parts of the body and entering a state between wakefulness and sleep. The goal of Yoga Nidra is to achieve a profound level of relaxation, reduce stress, and even tap into the subconscious mind.
We provide yoga mats but feel free to bring your own. Remember to dress comfortably and we advice to take a blanket or sweater to cover yourself during the end relaxation
