Join us for the AIRLab Smart Carrier Hackathon - Finals Event
 

Ahold Delhaize's AI for Retail (AIR) Lab and YES!Delft are inviting you to the Finals Event of the AIRLab Smart Carrier Hackathon. In this challenge, creativity comes first. We have challenged motivated and passionate young people who have a background or are studying in one of these sectors: Industrial Design, Product Design, Arts, Architecture, Fashion.

The Challenge | Today’s shopping carts are designed to carry products inside the store. Once the customers are finished shopping, they often use shopping bags to take their groceries home. What would happen if we combined both the shopping bag and cart into one? This hackathon is focused on finding a multi-purpose carrier that customers can use at home, on the road and in store. The aim of the ‘smart carrier’ is to improve its functionality throughout the full shopping cycle to help customers simplify and speed up their shopping. This ensures that the consumer can fully focus on their shopping and creates a seamless experience. 

Finals Event | During this event, ten teams will be presenting their most innovative idea and explaining the rationale behind their design decision to win this retail industry innovation race! After the pitches, an expert jury will award the Top Three teams of the Smart Carrier Hackathon  the following prizes:

1st prize        € 1.000,00
2nd prize       € 500,00
3rd prize        € 250,00
