All site-visits are fully booked!

On the first and last days of the conference, attendees are able to visit local labs and companies specializing in robotics and AI.

Each tour has a minimum and a maximum amount of attendees.

Monday Afternoon:

  • Rotterdam's Firefighters (~2.5 hours); At the forefront of using drones and teleoperated autonomous vehicles in critical real-world scenarios. You will have the chance to discuss with them, try out their systems, and have a demonstration of how robotics and AI can make a difference in life-or-death situations. We will reach the company by bus.

  • Robotics labs and demos at Aerospace Engineering and SAM XL (~1 hour); In this combined tour, you will have the chance to visit the robotics lab at AE and the field LAB SAM XL. During the former, you will see live demos of micro-drones and other flying systems running algorithms ranging from neuromorphic to swarming. SAM XL (Smart Advanced Manufacturing XL) is a manufacturing automation expertise center that forms a unique liaison between TU Delft faculties, the industry, and suppliers. You will see there how big industrial robots can be pushed to their limits in the AE manufacturing industry. You will be asked to walk ~15 minutes to reach the location.

  • Microrovers for Lunar Surface Mission (~45 minutes);  Lunar Zebro is Europe's smallest and lightest Lunar rover, built at TU Delft in collaboration with various partners across the Netherlands. In this tour, you will be introduced to the Lunar Zebro micro rover and the ongoing research, development, and testing of Lunar Zebro.

Friday Afternoon:

  • Robotics labs and demos at Cognitive Robotics Part 1 (~1 hour); This tour showcases various engaging robotics projects, including interactive demos of supermarket robots, educational robotics, advanced quadrotor navigation, and full-fledged autonomous cars.

  • Robotics labs and demos at Cognitive Robotics Part 2 (~1 hour); This tour showcases various engaging robotics projects, including interactive demos of a real-life-size moving-based driving simulator, demonstrations of soft robotics and quadruped robots, intelligent and mobile manipulation, vehicle platooning, and robotic physiotherapy.

  •  Lely (~3 hours, drinks will be served); On-site visit to an international company leading the robotization of the farming industry. You will hear all about how to organize a dairy farm smartly with robotized solutions, going from milking to cleaning. We will reach the company by bus, and you will visit their farm there.
