We are pleased to invite you to the 24th edition of the EURON PhD Days, organized at the University of Lille on Thursday the 22nd and Friday the 23rd of February 2024.

The EURON PhD Days offer an excellent opportunity for PhD candidates to present their research findings, exchange ideas, and gain insights from both peers and senior researchers. Furthermore, it provides a chance for participants to expand their knowledge of research and scientific developments beyond the boundaries of their own university.

The programme of the meeting consists of plenary lectures and parallel sessions focusing on clinical and molecular neurodegeneration, the influence of early life stress and environmental factors on the brain, and the gut-brain axis. Each parallel session will be introduced by a presentation of a senior scientist followed by four PhD student talks. Additionally, there will be poster sessions and a scientific artwork contest.

The programme also includes workshops on communication and public speaking skills, and on navigating the recruitment journey after your PhD, hosted by Dr. Ariane Sharif, Dr. Odile Viltart and Dr. Jean-Marc Taymans.

Confirmed speakers are Prof. Bart de Strooper (VIB-KU Leuven, University College London), Dr. Tamara Seredenina (AC Immune SA), Prof. David Blum (Lille University), Prof. Stefania Maccari (Lille University), Dr. Vincent Prevot (Lille University), Prof. Rejko Krüger (University of Luxembourg), Dr. Marlies Gijs (Maastricht University) and Dr. Marialetizia Rastelli (Lille University).

Unique to the EURON PhD days is the opportunity to network with peers and principal investigators from the different universities of EURON during scientific ànd social activities.
