MIST event information and objectives

Welcome to a groundbreaking event focused on improving indoor health environments in our everyday spaces - schools where our children learn, health centres that care for our communities, restaurants where we gather, offices where we work, and public spaces we all share.

Why this matters

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the critical importance of indoor air quality in public spaces. The MIST (MItigation STrategies for Airborne Infection Control) project has been at the forefront of research into airborne disease transmission and control. Now, we're excited to share our first significant findings that could reshape how we approach indoor air safety.

Event objective

This event brings together cutting-edge research and practical solutions from the MIST project to inform and empower:

  • Decision-makers shaping our public health policies

  • Policymakers developing building regulations

  • The general public seeking to understand and implement better air quality practices

Through interactive presentations and discussions, we'll explore how the latest scientific findings can be translated into practical measures for creating healthier indoor environments.
