Biography:
Dr. Sebastian Tims is a senior scientist within the Gut Biology & Microbiology department of Danone Nutricia Research.
After finalizing his training in the Medical Biotechnology MSc program at the Wageningen University and Research Centre, he specialized focused on finding molecular signatures from the human gut microbiota during his PhD trajectory. In 2013, Sebastian started at Danone Nutricia Research, where he investigates the interactions between nutrition, health, and the gut microbiota in early life. He currently leads a team of microbiologists on the laboratory. They coordinate and continuously improve clinical and preclinical sample analyses. Working in a scientific field that is becoming increasingly more complex, it is the mission of his team to simplify the findings and distil nutritional solutions from them.
