ORAL PRESENTATION IN A TOPIC
Oral presentations are proposed by a single speaker for a 10-15-minute presentation during the conference, depending on the needs and style of the session. Co-authors may be mentioned in the submission although only a single speaker can present the work. The presenting author of the paper should submit the abstract (max. 300 words).
TOPICS:
1. Driving biomedical innovation
2. Sustainable supply chains and environmental protection
3. Enhancing equitable access
4. Supporting accountability
5. Effective medicines governance
ORGANISED WORKSHOPS
Organised workshops are composed of minimum 3 presentations and maximum 4 presentations that represent at least two different disciplines (e.g. law, public policy, public health, sociology, economics, etc) or sectors (e.g. research, policy, practice) with attention for balancing the genders and career stages represented. Workshops are led by one Chair who is not a presenter in the workshop. Workshops should allow for speakers’ presentations and interactive discussion with the audience. Proposals for a workshop should identify the speakers, the overarching theme of the workshop as it relates to the conference (max 300 words) and brief abstracts of each presentation (max 300 words each) . The organised workshop proposal should be submitted by the workshop organiser.
Instructions for all submissions:
• The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of and agree with the content of the abstract before submission.
• It is preferred that research has not been previously presented at another conference.
• All abstracts should be written in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling.
• Abstracts presenting empirical work should address the Background, Methods, Results and Discussion.
• Abstracts presenting legal/doctrinal research or experience from law, policy or practice should explain what is known about the topic, what the presentations adds to the state of the art, and why it is important.
• A single presenter may make up to two unique submissions (e.g. 2 oral presentations; 1 oral presentation + part of 1 organised workshop; part of 2 organised workshops).
• Serving as the Chair of an organised panel or workshop does not count towards the maximum of two submissions.
• If an organised workshop is not accepted, the presenters in that workshop will also be considered to give individual presentations in other sessions in the conference.
• Researchers from southern and eastern EU Member States, from outside the European Union, and/or in an early stage of their career are especially encouraged to submit their work.
