Welcome

Welcome on the registration website of the Materials Technology Day organized by the
TU Delft, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)

July 5th, Materials Technology Day

The Dutch steel sector faces a major transition. The production, processing, use and recovery
of steel needs to be made significantly more sustainable by 2030 and completely CO2 neutral
by 2050. Groeien met Groen Staal is a plan to achieve this, with a range of technologies based
on hydrogen, renewable energy and circular iron and steel processing, completely removing
the dependency on fossil-fuel based processes.

At the Materials Technology Day, we will gain insight of Groeien met Groen Staal program and
will explore the challenges and opportunities to reach sustainability in the life cycle of steel –
the material used in wind turbines, buildings and infrastructure but also in shaver heads and
paper clips – in all its facets: from production and processing to use and recovery.

Presenting a poster is a great opportunity to show and discuss your research to a wider audience!
There will be a very nice best poster prize! One for master students, postdocs and PhD's.

The criteria are based on:

  • Content
  • Design
  • Presentation

For printing your poster go to: the Printshop
