About the event

This X-Prize event is organized to stimulate collaborations within the Living Lab Electric Flight (LLEF). During this event students are given the opportunity to suggest research proposals that they would like to carry out with NLR's Pipistrel or other research facilities. 

The X-prize event consists of two rounds:

• Round 1 (22nd of April, 10:00-12:00): Kick-off and Inspiration
• Round 2 (20th of May, 10:00-12:00): Pitch & Prize

During round 1 the kick-off takes place. An inspirational speech will be given by Tine Tomazic, CTO of Pipistrel. The rules of the X-Prize are elaborated and the jury will introduce themselves. After that, you have 2 weeks to write and submit your proposal.

Were you not able to participate in the 1st round? You still have time to send in your proposal and join the 2nd round!

At May 20th, the second round takes place in which you will pitch your proposed research. A jury consisting of representors of the aerospace sector in The Netherlands will evaluate the proposals on their feasibility, relevance and to what extent the innovation is scalable towards the future. Three winners will be selected by the jury at the end of the event.

The three best proposals will be facilitated to actually carry out their research in collaboration with LLEF/NLR!
