WP3 is called "Preparing Toxicology Ready for European Open Science Cloud" and the Workshop 3 title "Making toxicology tools more accessible and interoperable ". This workshop is a face-to-face, free-of-charge hands-on workshop, organised in the context of the first implementation study (INTOXICOM) of the ELIXIR Toxicology Community. See the ELIXIR Toxicology Community Whitepaper for more in-depth information about the community's goals.
This workshop will feature keynote lectures and hands-on sessions.
Several projects already make computational toxicology services available as Docker images, e.g. NanoSolveIT and VHP4Safety. In the first part of this workshop we will be looking how such Docker images can be made ready to be deployed on the EOSC. Second, it is important that Docker images get archived. That way, they can be properly cited and credit given to the researchers for their output. VHP4Safety is experimenting with RO-Crate technologies, but more experience and adoption is needed. Based on the preceding webinar, particular tool(s) can be selected to be use cases and to create interoperability stories. The second part of the workshop is about the interoperability of cloud services, in particular the services that have a machine-actionable REST API (not excluding SOAP, XMPP, etc). OpenRiskNet and other projects have used OpenAPI, but it has been noted that interoperability of such interactive documentation needs further work to be interoperable with bio.tools and to make them more findable with ontological annotations e.g. with the EDAM ontology. Finally, creating new REST APIs and documenting them can be a workshop topic to ensure more tools can be reused by a wider toxicology community. This can include wrapping a SPARQL endpoint in a REST API with the Shallot platform.
Attendees will also participate in hands-on sessions. Expected outcomes include model templates for software, such as predictive toxicology solutions for EOSC and bio.tools and scientific models, such as AOPs, PBPK, and QSAR models.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Toxicologists interested in using FAIR data resources for their research or making their data FAIR, as well as data managers and researchers working with AOPs.

INTRODUCTORY WEBINAR
In preparation for the workshop, the introductory webinar for this workshop will be held two weeks before the workshop and is in principle mandatory. During this one-hour meeting participants can introduce themselves. In a co-creation-style we will finalize the details of the programme based on the scheme below.
