Arrival and Transfer Information

 

IMPORTANT PRAGUE ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER INFORMATION

Prague taxi drivers are inconsistent. We recommend you to use Uber or the local and inexpensive Liftago to get to Hotel International. There is free WI-FI at the airport arrivals hall but for practical reasons we recommend to download the App to your mobile phone while you are still home. Please note that you might need cash (CZK) ready to pay for your transportation. You can withdraw Czech crowns from ATM, details here. There is an Exchange Office at the airport, too.

From the start on Sunday evening 21 May in Prague all transportation will be taken care of:

- with a shuttle to the hotel at the end of 23 May if you booked program A.

- with a shuttle to the hotel in Brno in case you booked program B. 

- with a bus to Venice Airport and Santa Lucia  railway station in Venice if you booked program C.

You only need to arrange your own transportation from the airport to your hotel when you arrive.

For local transportation to the railwaystation, we recommend you to take a Liftago or Uber taxi.

Arrange your own transportation back to Prague or Vienna. The picnick at Villa Stiassni is supposed to end around

Bus transfer to Venice Airport is included for those who want to add a few days Architecture Biennale or want to travel home via Venice Airport.

Near Ljubljana are several airports that are easily accessible either by train, bus or shuttles.

LJUBLJANA AIRPORT-LJU
Nearest international airport is Jože Pučnik Ljubljana Airport, which is aproximately 22 km / 16 miles northwest of Ljubljana. TRIESTE AIRPORT - TRS

VENICE-VCE & TREVISIO-TSF AIRPORT

KLAGENFURT AIRPORT -KLU

ZAGREB AIRPORT-ZAG

BY BUS
Ljubljana has excellent international railway and bus connections due to its central geographical location. Travelling by bus and train is also a good option for short trips across Slovenia and for discovering Ljubljana's surroundings. Plecnik House is located 850 meters from the main Ljubljana Bus & Train Station. More: https://www.ap-ljubljana.si/en/

BOOK A SHUTTLE / TAXI
Ljubljana Airport: Shuttle/Taxi
Hotel Slon provides the following Ljubljana airport transfer options:
•    SHUTTLE minibus (12 EUR per person one way)
•    TAXI (33 EUR per car one way).

Shuttle service provides door-to-door transport to/from Hotel Slon, without hassle. You can order it when booking your room or send them an e-mail and provide them with your flight details (arrival time and flight number). At arrival, the driver will be waiting at the exit gate with guest name written on the blackboard. Taxi will drop you off in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, on Beethovnova street. They will be happy to assist you with your luggage if you call them at +386 1 470 11 00 upon your arrival.
