Day 8 - Plečnik's Ljubljana
Guided Tours:
- Plečnik House, Jože Plečnik, Ljubljana, Slovenia, 1929
- Plečnik’s Cultural Axis walking tour with Plečnik House curator Ana Porok and and art historian Matic Šavli in two groups from Plečnik House to the centre of Ljubljana with a short stop and of Plečnik’s National and University Library
Lunch at Plečnik’s Central Market, authentic Slovenian cuisine
- Plečnik’s Water Axis boat tour with curator of the Museum of Architecture and Design Ljubljana Natalija Lapajne and coordinator of Plečnik’s Unesco nomination Tomaž Štoka, Museum of Architecture and Design Ljubljana
Boat tour on the Ljubljanica River through the centre of Ljubljana
End of program
±4pm Free to spend a few hours until closing reception at the National Gallery of Slovenia to stroll through the old city centre with several Plečnik's interventions or visit
- Plečnik’s Church of Saint Francis of Assisi
- Ljubljana Castle with Plečnik's arrangement of Šance, an old castle fortification into an open park
6:30pm Closing Reception at the National Gallery of Slovenia
