Abigail Norville

Abigail Norville is the Deputy Secretary-General at the ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport since October 2019. She is responsible for the following departments: Legal Affairs and Legislation, healthcare in Bonaire, Statia and Saba, Post Covid 19-Affairs, Administrative and Political Affairs, Communication, HR and Facility & Operations, Information Policy and CIO, DUSI (Agency that manages the subsidies for institutes), ESTT (Unit for the secretariats disciplinary committee and euthanasia), the program to bring the European Medicines Agency to NL and the program about individual allowance from the government. She is also responsible for the supervision of policy, the general state of affairs, budgetary frameworks, continuity and quality of a lot of organizations affiliated with the ministry (CAK, CIZ, NZA, ZIN, RIVM, CBG, CIBG, Dopingautoriteit, CCMO, IGJ, and SCP).

Before joining the government, Abigail has worked as director of Human Resource, Communication and Legal Affairs at the municipality of Rotterdam and as director of Business at the municipality of Vlaardingen. Abigail holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the Erasmus Rotterdam School of Management.
