Workshop 7 - FLUOR - BLACK
Title
Bristol fashion: Lessons learned through 7 years of sensitive data release.
Authors
Kirsty Merrett (University of Bristol)
Abstract
This workshop will discuss the lessons learned through seven years of sensitive data sharing at the University of Bristol. It will set out our definition of sensitive data, detail deposit checking for supporting data, including work on consistently wording consent, working with legacy data and setting up our Disclosure Risk Service. Bristol has a Data Access Committee, in line with the EAGDA’s recommendations on Data Access, and their membership and function will be discussed. We will have a Q&A to discuss snagging points in the research process and administration of the service, and discuss how other institutions can adapt this model.
