Exposure in vivo bij jongeren en volwassenen met chronische pijn: nieuwe ontwikkelingen

De afgelopen jaren heeft nationaal en internationaal veel onderzoek plaatsgevonden met nieuwe inzichten over pijngerelateerde angst, chronische pijn en de exposure in vivo behandeling. Tijdens het symposium delen we een aantal van deze nieuwe wetenschappelijke inzichten met u en krijgt u praktische tips om uw behandeling nog verder te verfijnen.  

Het symposium wordt georganiseerd door de Academische Werkplaats Revalidatie Limburg waarin wordt samengewerkt met de vakgroep revalidatiegeneeskunde van de faculteit ‘Health, Medicine and Life Sciences’ van de Universiteit Maastricht, de Hogeschool Zuyd,  Adelante Groep en de sectie Experimentele Gezondheidspsychologie van de  faculteit ‘Psychology and Neuroscience’. Het doel van deze samenwerking is kennis te ontwikkelen, te implementeren en te delen, met als doel de revalidatiezorg en opleiding voor revalidatiezorgprofessionals volgens de laatste wetenschappelijke standaard te laten verlopen.

Over the past few years, a lot of national and international research into has yielded new insights into pain-related fear, chronic fear and exposure in vivo treatment. During the symposium we will share some of these new scientific insights with you and you will get practical tips to further refine your treatment. The symposium is organised by the Academic Workplace Rehabilitation Limburg, which is a collaboration between the research department of rehabilitation medicine at the faculty of 'Health, Medicine and Life Sciences' of Maastricht University, Zuyd University of Applied Science, Adelante and the department of Experimental Health Psychologie at the faculty of 'Psychology and Neuroscience'. The aim of this collaboration is to develop, implement and share knowledge, to achieve rehabilitation care and training according to the most recent scientific standards.  

 

Het programma

Gerenommeerde Exposure in vivo experts zullen hun inzichten delen over de nieuwe ontwikkelingen op het gebied van de Exposure in vivo behandeling voor zowel volwassenen en jongeren.

Renowned experts on Exposure in Vivo will share their insights into the newest developments around this treatment for both adults and adolescents. 
The morning program will be in English and is available for both on-site and online participants. In the afternoon, pratical workshops are available only on-site and in Dutch. 

 

Prof. Dr. Laura Simons is a clinical psychologist and Professor at the department of anesthesiology, perioperative and pain medicine at 'Standford University School of Medicine’ of Stanford medical faculty and ‘Stanford Children’s Health’. Her clinical and scientific focus are on chronic pain research and management in children, including exposure treatment.

 

Prof. Dr. Rikard Wicksell is Professor of clinical health psychology and head of the research group Behavioral Science at the department of clinical neuroscience of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, and head of R&D at the Pain Clinic of Capio St Göran Hospital. His clinical research is about the development of behavioral interventions for adults and adolescents with chronic pain to improve resilience and well-being. 

 

Prof. Dr. Julia Anna Glombiewsi is Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry and head of the Pain department  and the Psychotherapy research laboratory at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau. Julia is specialised in pain and obsessive compulsive disorder with a focus on exposure in vivo treatment. 

 

Prof. Dr. Jeanine Verbunt will inform you about recent regional and national developments in the treatment of chronic pain and the Dutch healthcare system for rehabilitation and pain. Jeanine is Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and head of the department of rehabilitation medicine at Maastricht University. She is also a Rehabilitation Physician at Adelante care group. 

 

Het ochtenddeel van het programma bestaat uit een aantal keynote sessies (in het Engels). Het middagdeel van het symposium wordt praktisch ingevuld door 2 praktische workshops aangeboden door experts in de exposure in vivo behandeling (in het Nederlands). 

 

Het middagdeel van het symposium wordt ingevuld door 2 praktische workshops aangeboden door experts in de exposure in vivo behandeling, Dr. Marlies den Hollander en dr. Thijs van Meulenbroek. Marlies is GZ-Psycholoog en senior onderzoeker gespecialiseerd in exposure in vivo behandeling. Thijs is fysiotherapeut en senior onderzoeker en is eveneens gespecialiseerd in exposure in vivo behandeling. Beiden hebben reeds veel zorgverleners opgeleid in het geven van exposure in vivo therapie voor mensen met chronische pijn.

Voor wie?

Dit symposium richt zich op artsen, psychologen, fysiotherapeuten, ergotherapeuten, maatschappelijk werkers en andere zorgprofessionals werkzaam in de revalidatiezorg (in de eerste en tweede lijn) en onderzoekers op het thema (chronische) pijn. 
For whom? This symposium is geared towards physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and other health professionals in rehabilitation care (primary or secondary care) as well as researchers into the topic of (chronic) pain. 

 

Locatie

Deelname aan het symposium is mogelijk op locatie (Novotel Maastricht; voor meer informatie zie pagina 'locatie') of online vanaf uw eigen locatie. Deelnemers op locatie kunnen gratis parkeren bij Novotel. Meer informatie over online deelname volgt na inschrijving.
Location Participation can be on site (Novotel Maastricht) or online. On-site participants are offered free parking at Novotel. More information about participation online will be provided after sign-up.
