ACTIVITIES - SATURDAY AFTERNOON

 

The special Eurofast celebration program on Saturday afternoon 2 July, consist of 3 activities (which you have already chosen): 

1. E-rally

2. Virtual reality gaming & Urban walking tour 

3. DAF museum & Beer tasting 

 

Activity 1: E-rally

Discover the surroundings of Eindhoven during the E-rally! The E-rally is a tour through Eindhoven on an E-chopper and Segway (This option is a 2-part program). One tour, 2 different vehicles. The group will be divided in half. One group starts on the E-chopper and one on the Segway. Halfway you will switch. This way you are able to enjoy both vehicles. 
 

E-Chopper
The first group will start their tour on the E-chopper. An E-chopper is an electric “lowrider” for one person that really makes you stand out in traffic. The E-chopper is based on the look of an American motorcycle. The sturdy E-chopper is easy to control and has a maximum speed of 25 km/hours.

 

Segway
The second group will firstly get a momentto practice driving on a Segway, and then you are ready to hit the road! A Segway is an electrically powered, selfbalancing one person vehicle. You control
the Segway with your body by leaning forward and backwards. Finding the right balance is not difficult because the Segway is self-balancing. It is a bit like skiing on dry land.

Please note: For this option you need a valid moped license or driver's license.

Activity 2: Virtual reality gaming & Urban walking tour

This option is a 2-part program. The group will be divided in half. One group starts with the Virtual reality game and one with the Urban walking tour. Halfway you will switch. This way you are able to enjoy both activities in a relatively small group.

Virtual reality gaming
In an iconic building at Strijp-S in Eindhoven you find the largest virtual reality centre of Europe. In groups of 6 or 7 players you will play various mini virtual reality games. There are solo, multiplayer and versus games. Since you will be with a small group you have plenty of time to play! Call out your opponent with a VR bow and arrow challenge, work together as a well-oiled machine to keep from getting fired in the kitchen, dance your way through various songs.. and more!

Urban walking tour
Be surprised by the energy of Eindhoven! Led by an experienced and enthusiastic city guide, you will discover Strijp-S; an unique former Philips area. Get to know more about the industrial heritage, architecture and developments of this old industrial Philips site that has been transformed into a dynamic area for living, working and culture. The tour will end at the famous "Intelligentia Taste Room" to enjoy a homemade 'haute couture' ice cream!

Activity 3: DAF museum & Beer tasting

This option is a 2-part program. First you will visit the museum and afterwards you will walk to the city brewery 100 Watt. 

DAF Museum
A visit to the DAF Museum means a tour through time, past the historical heritage of Doorne's Automobiel Fabriek (DAF). Led by an professional guide. Experience DAF from the founding of the company by the brothers Hub and Wim van Doorne to the most modern trucks created in the DAF factories. Trailers, trucks, coaches, army vehicles and not to forget the passenger car with some rare prototypes, DAF has it all.  

Beer tasting
Right in the heart of Eindhoven you find the characteristic old Schellens factory, where the city brewery 100 Watt is located. You will be taken to the wonderful world of beer by a beer specialist. Besides a beautiful story about beer you will naturally also be tasting 5 beers with fitting snacks.
