Day program 19 & 20 May 2022


The participants will be divided into two groups. Upon arrival, you will receive your group number from us. Both groups only follow the same excursion on another day.
 

Program group 1 on the 19th of May 2022
Typical Dutch excursion.

We have a typical Dutch excursion organized for you. Starting with an inspiring presentation of one of the most famous Dutch family companies on circularity, using different marketing tools and the importance of the connection with the consumer. The rest of the day, we will visit three unique locations. We will see firsthand the future of Dutch farming, the best possible collaboration throughout the whole chain, precision farming using the newest tools and gadgets and market-driven production at its best. During that same day, we will use the transportation that has become synonymous with Dutch culture and that of which is famous around the world, the Dutch bicycle. This inspiring, active and educative day is one that will be surely remembered!

 
Program group 2 on the 19th of May 2022

Practice, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

You are invited for a road trip through the Netherlands that gives an insight into the near future of pig production, innovations to come, societal changes to deal with and learnings to take from another industry with similar challenges. Partners from feed, technology and health will take you on this journey and share current and future innovations from different points of view but with a shared goal: supporting you in being the best performing farmers in the world.

Wageningen University

  • “Hour of PoWUR” – 3 professors present innovation pitches from the perspectives world, animal and technic
  • The future of Pig Farming
  • Guided tour + lunch

Denkavit Pig Farm & Veal Farm

  • Interactive tour
  • Speaker Paul van Erp - Royal A-Ware. A traditional Dutch family business in dairy products. With a strong organization of the chain from consumer to cow.
  • Tasting of Dutch dairy delicacies

On the 20th of May,  group 1 will go on the excursion Practice, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Group 2 will have a Typical Dutch excursion with the famous transportation around the world, the Dutch bicycle.
