At aanmelder.nl, we continue to listen to the desires of our customers and ensure your voice is heard! Thanks to your feedback and our voting issue rounds for new features, we are proud to present the winner of this round: Percentage cancellation costs!
As we are currently working on it, the feature is soon to be live! Sign up for our newsletter for more updates!
What's new?
Thanks to this newly updated feature, the cancellation cost for clients is no longer a fixed amount. This means that you can now determine the amount of the fee that the client should pay if they cancel their booking. Now this cost is a percent of the full ticket price, depending on the type of the ticket. This feature is applicable for all kinds of tickets, like student or VIP tickets, early bird or regular tickets, and all other ticket categories .
How does it work?
Choosing the percentage for the cancellation cost is very simple. You just pick the ticket type, and then you can select what percentage of its' price will apply as a cancellation cost. In case the client cancelled their booking, this cost will still be deducted from their bank account, and they will get only a part of the full ticket price back.
For example: This way clients who purchased a more expensive kind of ticket will have to pay a more proportional cancellation cost, opposed to the cancellation cost of a client with a cheaper ticket.
Why does it matter?
By allowing event organizers to set cancellation costs as a percentage of the ticket price, it ensures a more tailored approach to managing cancellations. This is especially valuable for events with diverse ticket types, where a fixed cancellation fee might be neither fair, nor practical.
