C&M OPEN day

At the beginning of May, Monique Mourits informed you about a process that we all have to deal with in our work: the introduction of a sharpened positioning and a new pay-off for our university. With this sharpened 'P&P' we give shape and content to the course outlined in the Strategic Plan, in which 'Open view, open attitude and open science' are the common thread.

What has been done in recent weeks?
The project P&P started the working group Ssst! with colleagues from the C&M directorate and from all faculties. The working group Ssst! got a 'sneak preview' of the updated positioning and pay-off, discussed it and then made plans to involve all other C&M colleagues as well.

What's next for us?
The new payoff will be introduced during the Opening Academic Year on September 6. From that moment the external communication will start. We think it is important that every C&M colleague gets acquainted with the new positioning and pay-off before that time, because they express what UU is all about at the core. We therefore believe it is important for each of us to consider what this means for our own work, where the opportunities lie, and how we can collectively ensure that the 'P&P' leads to telling content, resources and plans that move our university forward.

1: Participate in discussion and ideas on the intranet
Go to https://intranet.uu.nl/startpagina-cm-domein/positionering-en-pay-off  to read all the information about the P&P project on the intranet. And join the discussion, share your reaction and ideas with colleagues on the intranet. The information on the intranet will be continually updated this summer. A toolkit will also be shared with everyone via intranet.

2: Sign up for the online session
We are organizing three online sessions even before the Opening Academic Year, one of which every C&M's will choose. During this session you will get to know the new P&P and explore the opportunities and possibilities together with your colleagues. Participation in the online session is mandatory. Is it really impossible for you to be there? Please discuss this with your manager.

• Thursday, August 26, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, September 1, from 10.00 to 11.30 hrs.
• Thursday, September 2, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

3: Come to the C&M OPEN day
On Thursday, September 23, we will organize the C&M OPEN day. During this day, we will work together on translating the UU identity to our work, e.g. by presenting concrete stories of our researchers. In addition, there will be ample opportunity to meet your C&M colleagues. Please register for this day. Participation in the Big C&M meeting is mandatory. Is it really impossible for you to be there? Please discuss this with your manager.

We realize that this C&M program is offered in the summer and the busy month of September. Maybe short notice, maybe difficult to fit in, nevertheless we hope we can inspire you. We are looking forward to working together on the new P&P from the end of August onwards, in order to put the university - and perhaps also ourselves - even better on the map.
