Rick is an analytical chemist and biochemist interested in how metabolism and its interaction with our lifestyle influences human health, ageing and disease development and progression. His research is separated in to two arms, one arm focuses on analytical developments for untargeted metabolomics to enhance what we detect and how we annotate metabolites and the second arm focuses on applying metabolomics to understand metabolic perturbations related to lifestyle, ageing and the development of human diseases.
