“Industrial challenges awaiting academic solutions”

This year’s industry session at BioSB2025 is designed to tackle pressing industrial challenges that are waiting for academic solutions. Our goal is to foster meaningful interaction between industry and academia, creating a platform where both sectors can engage in dialogue. We are particularly interested in identifying specific challenges faced by industry, such as computational bottlenecks, insufficient robust algorithms, missing datasets, and/or simply need for particular wet/dry lab facilities.

We will delve into why these issues cannot effectively be addressed solely within the industrial framework, considering factors like resource limitations, neccessity for fundamental research and regulatory barriers. We’ll also engage on how academic approaches can offer the tools, technologies and facilities needed to address these issues. Additionally, we encourage participants to explore collaborative models that can make these solutions viable and accessible for industry.
