BioSB 2017 conference

The 3rd edition of the Dutch Bioinformatics & Systems Biology conference will be organised on April 4 & 5 2017, at Congrescentrum De Werelt in Lunteren, the Netherlands. 

The BioSB 2017 conference discusses the latest developments in bioinformatics, systems and computational biology and interrelated disciplines, and their wide-ranging applications in life sciences & health, agriculture, food & nutrition.

Last year's conference was visited by more than 350 bioinformaticians and systems biology researchers from universities, UMCs and companies, mainly from the Netherlands.

This year's conference will be co-organised by the BioSB research school, University of Groningen, the Groningen University Medical Center and ELIXIR-NL


Programme

This year’s 2-day programme will again be highly diverse, featuring keynote lectures, parallel thematic sessions, an evening poster session, and an entertaining evening programme with lots of opportunities for networking.

BioSB Young Investigator Award

The selection committee of the BioSB Young Investigator Award 2017 has selected this year's award winner! The winner is: Ahmed Mahfouz, LUMC. Ahmed will receive the award at the award ceremony on April 4 and he will give an honorary lecture afterward.

BioSB PhD retreat

On April 3, 2017 the next edition of the BioSB PhD retreat will be organized by the Young Computational Biologists as a satellite meeting of the BioSB 2017 conference.
