We’re excited to invite you to join us for an engaging online workshop where we’ll dive into the art of crafting a compelling narrative CV!

Together, we’ll explore the key ingredients that make a narrative CV stand out, especially when applying for personal grants. You’ll gain practical insights and tips that will empower you to showcase your unique journey and achievements effectively.

Whether you’re just starting to think about your CV or looking to refine what you already have, this session promises to be both informative and inspiring. We can’t wait to see you there! 

 

Program 

Presentation: Key Components of a Competitive CV
We will begin with an informative presentation covering:

  • The essential elements that make a CV appealing to grant committees.
  • Insights into how narrative CVs are evaluated by committee members and reviewers.
  • Practical guidelines for writing an effective narrative CV tailored for personal grants.

Break (10-15 minutes)
A brief intermission to refresh and gather your thoughts.

Small Group Discussions (20-30 minutes)
Participants will be divided into small groups to engage in:

  • Evaluating a one-page narrative CV.
  • Sharing insights and discussing best practices.

Group Feedback Session (10 minutes)
We will reconvene to share key takeaways from the group discussions and provide collective feedback on the narrative CVs reviewed.

Q&A Session (20 minutes)
This is your opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on any topics discussed during the workshop. 

 

The workshop will be led by Vivian Braeken (Funding Advisor, Grants Office FHML/MUMC+) and Pan Xu.


To prepare for the workshop, we kindly ask you to review a sample narrative CV, which will be sent to you prior to the event.
