I am a third year PhD candidate at division 2. Although my PhD research is on pharmacogenetics for antipsychotics, I have a passion for diversity and inclusivity in (and outside of) research on the side. Since 2022, I've been part of the MHeNs D&I taskforce, and as of December 2023, acting as co-head of the National Gender & Health association (early career division).

In this talk, I will present on sex and gender in (medical) research, illustrated by relevant examples to mental health and neuroscience. The talk will cover for example sex bias in research, problems with reporting, and issues in statistical analysis, but also potential solutions and helpful resources, to hopefully inspire you to think more about sex and gender in your research in the future.
