Rijnhaven in transition

The Rijnhaven is one of the olderst port basins in Rotterdam on the south bank of the Nieuwe Maas which was dug out between 1887 and 1895. During the last century the port has moved further away from the city and closer to the sea. This gave the opportunity to redevelop the Rijnhaven area where a new part of the city center will be built in, on and along the Rijnhaven with its historic quays, industrial monuments and beautiful views. We are going to take in some fresh air and go for a walking tour around the area and take a sneakpeak in the past, present and future developments here.
