  • neuroscientific knowledge and dance exercises in a unique method to guarantee relaxation through dance
  • dance exercises, breathwork, and playful interaction in dance improvisation to stimulate the vagus nerve
  • choreography, composed of the dance exercises and free improvisation
  • emphasis on practical exercises, interactions & discussion regarding body image
  • personal relaxation technique, to be danced when one feels acutely overwhelmed

description:

This workshop combines neuroscientific knowledge and dance exercises in a unique method to guarantee relaxation through dance. During the workshop we will use dance exercises, breathwork, and playful interaction in dance improvisation to stimulate the vagus nerve. This combination activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the system that signals to the body that all is fine, and it's time to relax and enjoy. The last 15 minutes of each session to choreography, composed of the dance exercises and free improvisation. The choreography is intended to serve as a personal relaxation technique, to be danced when one feels acutely overwhelmed.

IMPORTANT:

Each session builds on the previous one and there is one choreography we are learning step by step, thus it is recommended to register for 4 sessions!
