Split 
Split, the second biggest Croatian city, is known for ancient sights, sandy beaches and rich nightlife options. Alongside Dubrovnik, Split is the most important Croatian tourist destination, featuring millions of visits every year. Split is a great destination for this group event. 

 


 

GENERAL INFORMATION

This is an overview of practical information which can be useful when travelling to Split. This webpage holds relevant and important information about the destination, the program and the hotel you will be staying at.

Clothing
Please check the accurate weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing based on the actual weather conditions. Make sure you bring comfortable walking shoes

Currency
In Split you can pay with the Euro. 

Drinking water
You can safely drink water directly from the tap. Bottled water is sold everywhere in the city centre. 

Electricity
For Croatia there are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Croatia operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Expenses during event
All hotel, food and beverage costs during the program are covered by Satriun - Inplenion with the following exceptions:

- Food & drinks after closing of official program 
- Drinks from minibar in your room
- Phone calls made with the hotel phone from your room

Flight tickets
Please include the correct information in your registration form. Your flight will be arranged and you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

Guiding 
We are supported by Myles during the entire event and all planned activities, we will be accompanied by a guide.

Health 
Please check your local recommendations when travelling to Croatia.

Language
The people in Croatia speak Croatian. Most of the Croatians speak English. 

Luggage
Before flying, please check the maximum baggage allowance of your chosen airline and make sure your luggage meets all other requirements and restrictions. Your hand luggage must comply with the safety rules. Liquids must be presented in packages of a maximum of 100 ml each. These packages are contained in one transparent, resealable plastic bag of 1 litre maximum, which you have to show separately at check-in. You can take 1 plastic bag of 1 litre per person. More information about the requirements and conditions for your (hand) luggage can be found on the website of your airline.

Passport & Visa
A valid passport or valid identity card is required for travelling to Croatia. Please make sure you carry one of these with you at all times. Before travelling to Split, please check whether you need a visa or not.

Medicines
In case you use (special) medicines, we strongly recommend you to ask your doctor or pharmacy for a prescription that is known internationally. 

Time
In Croatia, the standard time is Central European Time (CET; UTC+01:00). Daylight saving time is observed from the last Sunday in March (02:00 CET) to the last Sunday in October (03:00 CEST).

Telephone call with family at home
Please be aware that using the phone in your room or mobile for international calls comes with significant costs and at YOUR own expense. We recommend you use Wi-Fi calls as this is free of charge. When there is no possibility to call international and you need to contact home, feel free to request using the phone of the organization.

Transfers at arrival and departure
Arrival by airplane: 
If you arrive at Split, please exit the airport and you will find dedicated staff holding the trip/company logo. They will guide you to your transportation. 

Wi-Fi
In the hotel standard internet access is provided free of charge.
