Healthy Start

This event is an initiative of the Healthy Start convergence programme  in which TU Delft, Erasmus University and Erasmus Medical Center join forces to realize positive impact for society and generate answers to urgent societal challenges with Rotterdam as living lab. Healthy Start is a growing community of scientists, professionals, policy makers and other societal partners, under the academic direction of professors Eveline Crone (EUR), Maaike Kleinsmann (TUD) and Vincent Jaddoe (Erasmus MC). We connect science and practice, realize ambition-projects and develop transdisciplinary methodologies to enlarge the positive impact for society. 

 

Our ambitions:

• Reduce avoidable health inequality in the first 1000 days.
• Improve the organization of care for young children.
• Improve the quality of life of chronically ill children through activity and lifestyle.
• Improve mental health and resilience of children and adolescents.
• Tackling juvenile delinquency and addiction.
• Increase engagement and participation of (unheard) youth in society.
