Call for Judges

What is the Rotterdam–Carleton International Case Competition (ROCA)?

• An international undergraduate business case competition that will be hosted by the Rotterdam University AS, Rotterdam Business School, 13 November – 18 November 2022.
• It will feature 16 teams (4 students + 1-2 coaches) from 16 top business schools around the world.
• It creates an opportunity to engage with the business community and to build/reinforce key relationships; at the same time, it connects participants with potential employers with the aim of creating and enhancing student career opportunities.

• It is meant to support companies (mainly in the Rotterdam area) by asking participants to come up with creative and feasible solutions for their “wicked problems”, and to develop an effective action plan.
• It wants to promote Rotterdam through the cases and the event.
 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a mix of senior managers, consultants, experienced entrepreneurs, lecturers and case competition alumni to serve as judges for the competition— people with real-world business insight and - preferably - expertise in the so-called New Economy, especially in the international realm.

What are the cases like?

ROCA Cases will describe a business problem / opportunity facing an organisation, and will provide the information and opinions that the manager has currently available. ROCA cases will be relevant and challenging and will cover a broad range of interdisciplinary business problems. All will focus on business strategy, though individual cases may lean toward marketing, human resource management, operations, or financial issues.
