Workshop 3: “How to become and remain a future proof proton center”

Starting a new proton center is a challenging job and requires careful and extensive preparation. Maintaining an efficient, effective and well organised proton center which is future proof, might be even more challenging. You will learn what is necessary to build a proton center and how to prepare the staff at a radiation oncology department and the referring physicians for this treatment. 

Management and logistics within the proton center will be brought up by experts in the field. Once a proton center has started, prioritising patients can be a challenging job, which will be experienced by the participants with a serious game. Efficiency, capacity and referrals are essential for an excellent working proton center to keep it future proof. This will be elaborated by healthcare professionals from inside and outside the proton center. Lessons learned, recommendations and improvements will be highlighted. This workshop is a must for radiation oncologists, physicists, RTT’s and managers starting or already working in a proton facility.

Registration fee
The registration fee for the half-day Workshop “How to become and remain a future proof proton center” (including lunch) amounts to €150 (incl. VAT).

You can cancel your registration and get a full refund of the registration fee minus handling charges of 10%. This option is available until 2 weeks before the workshop. No refund will be possible if the cancellation is postmarked after this date.
