Description
The PETA Science Consortium International e.V. awarded a travel grant to a young career researcher/student (of $ 500 within Europe/ up to $ 1000 outside Europe) to attend LIVe2022 for the best abstract submitted.
- Young career scientist (≤ 35 years old) is defined as :
- Students working towards their master’s or PhD who have completed their first year of study
- Postdoctoral fellows
- Scientists who completed a master’s, PhD, or postdoctoral programme less than five years age.

PETA Science Consortium International has awarded Alicia Reyes Valenzuela its travel grant to attend LIVe2022: Lung In Vitro Event for Innovative & Predictive Models in Nice, France from 13-14 June 2022.
Alicia Reyes Valenzuela, a Ph.D. student in Biological and Biomedical Engineering at McGill University in Canada, focuses her research on the development of human lung organoids that can be used to study viral infections instead of testing on animals. Her goal is for her work to advance the development and implementation of non-animal models around the world, including in her native country of Mexico
