BioSB 2021 presentations

The BioSB programme offers 4 parallel topical sessions. Every session will be filled with presentations selected from the abstract submissions. Each session has 4 slots: one highlight presentation, two oral presentations and one presentation by the chair or a guest speaker. Each presentation has a time slot of 15 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A. 

Oral/highlight presentation (abstract submission closed)

You can submit an abstract to present your work in one of the topical parallel sessions during the conference. This can be published and unpublished work.

If your work has been published in a peer-reviewed journal, we offer the option to submit your presentation as a highlight presentation. 

A highlight presentation is an extra category that we added to the conference programme which features work that has been published in a peer-reviewed journal since January 1st 2020. 

Depending on the number of submitted highlight abstracts and oral abstracts, the programme committee might decide to prioritize highlight abstracts and allow for more highlight presentations in the program. 

Poster presentation (abstract submission deadline: May 30)

You can submit an abstract for a poster to be presented online via Gather.town during the poster sessions which are planned on June 15 late afternoon/evening (even poster numbers) and on June 16 during the lunch break (odd poster numbers). Poster numbers will be determined after the submission deadline. We expect all poster presenters to be present on both days, but on the assigned (even/odd) day we expect you to actually present your poster.

Demo presentation (abstract submission deadline: May 30)

You can also submit an abstract for a software/tools demonstration during the demo sessions at the conference which will be held simultaneously with the poster sessions in Gather.town.
